Cambridge's Priciest Townhouse Running Out the Year

The 3,342-square-foot townhouse at 31 Follen Street off Harvard Square last traded way back in July 2008, just as the world crumbled, for $1,600,000. It hit the market again this past April, where it's sat ever since at the same asking price.

The end-unit townhouse is asking $1,980,000 now for its four bedrooms; three full bathrooms; two wood-burning fireplaces; private garden; two-car garage; breakfast nook; and access to a common gazebo. Built in 1986 as part of a wider Follen Street project, No. 31 was, for what it's worth, the developer's own. Though you'd think the listing photos, then, would have been done with a little more TLC. It is the most expensive Cambridge townhouse on the market.
