The above map comes courtesy of our pals at PropertyShark. It shows the new flood zones demarcated by the federal government for Suffolk County and likely to take effect in 2015. They represent the biggest changes to the area's flood zones in decades, adding thousands of homes and businesses to the high-risk areas shaded in pinkish-red, homes and businesses very likely to see high insurance premiums as a result.
