It's time to make up a bunch of awards and hand them out to the good, the bad and the ugly in the Hub real estate universe. Yep, it's time for the Third Annual Curbed Boston Awards!
This one's a no-brainer (we should think): In September, Boston officials, including Mayor Tom Menino, and developer Millennium Partners broke ground on the tower that will fill the long-empty Filene's site in Downtown Crossing. It is fervently hoped that the 625-foot, 56-story tower, with its 450 luxury condos and 231,000 square feet of retail, will change the surrounding neighborhood once and for all into a 24-7 enclave. We'll see.
