Let's Define 'New York Style' in Boston Apartments

New, 2 comments

What constitutes "New York style" in a Boston apartment? A reader writes in re: Thursday's post on the new $6.25M listing at Zero Marlborough:

A few years ago, when I returned to this area after 11 years in Brooklyn, a realtor pointed out an apartment that was listed as "New York style." I said, "Oh, really? Does that include cockroaches and a shady Israeli landlord? Do they provide a family in the apartment above you with a washing machine that leaks into your kitchen? How about the neighbor continually practicing for his just-on-the-horizon big Broadway debut?" I think I went on in that vein for a few more minutes. What'd you think?
