BOSTON—The plan to add public water taps throughout the city is moving forward through a Thursday hearing led by City Councilor Matt O'Malley: "O'Malley said he'd like to have more bubblers, water fountains, water filling stations across the city to reduce the number of single use plastic bottles." HUB-WIDE—A new survey shows the region's hoteliers are cleaning up as guests pay more: "The 90 hotel operators in the survey achieved an average 53.2 percent occupancy at a $142.82 average daily rate (ADR) with a resulting $76.03 revenue per available room (RevPAR). These performance levels represented an occupancy surge of 8.7 percent, a 5.7 percent increase in ADR, and an overall 14.9 percent rise in RevPAR for December compared to December 2011..."
