Call it the Tomsele Effect. The move of Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen from Back Bay to Brookline has sparked at least one new luxury whopper.
Cindy Stumpo, late of HGTV's Tough as Nails and regular of C. Stumpo Development, bought a prime property on Yarmouth Road in Brookline, just down the road from where Brady and Bundchen were said to be building a 7,465-square-foot manse (with separate cottage and yoga studio) a 5.2-acre site. Rather than flip the property (you know flipping now, right?), Stumpo told The Globe she has instead decided to build on it: a limestone mansion that could ask $5 to $6 million. That is, if Stumpo doesn't buy it herself: "I've never been emotionally attached to this property before. Never in 25 years."
