Welker put the 3-BR, 2.5-BA penthouse at 42 Commonwealth Avenue on the market in July 2012, suggesting that he knew his time with the Patriots was ending (he is, as of this week, bound for the Denver Broncos; though he also owns a home in Berkley, near Foxborough). The 2,375-square-foot spread, listed by Beth Dickerson of Gibson Sotheby's, comes with all the bells and whistles you'd expect: thoroughly modern kitchen; a balcony off the master suite; a TV in the john; a private roof deck with wet bar; a parking space; and, as we noted back in July, "bounds of storage," according to the listing. Back then, it was asking $2,750,000. The price has since come down to $2,550,000.
