Bradley Mansion Shakes Off Winter w/ March's Biggest Sale

The Bradley Mansion at 409 Commonwealth Avenue has monster listings, no doubt, like this $4,200,000 puppy.

It turns out it has monster sales, too. A 4-BR, 4.5-BA unit at the Bradley traded for $5,500,000 in a deal that closed March 8. By our count, that makes it the biggest Boston housing deal of this lousily cold March. The 4,160-square-foot spread was on the market for only 32 days, not all that surprising in the city's upper reaches. And please do remember: Our calculations as to whether it's the biggest in March are based on having no clue as to what will become of the Ames-Webster Mansion toward the other end of Back Bay.
