Boston's Most Expensive Home Sale Ever!

New, 1 comment

That's right.

We have it on good authority that the 26,000-square-foot, 50-room Ames-Webster Mansion at 306 Dartmouth Street is to be used as a private residence for its new owner, Saudi businessman Fahad Al-Athel, and his family (it may, in fact, be subdivided to suit the family's needs). The mansion sold in a $14,500,000 deal that closed March 15, making it, by our back-of-the-envelop calculations, the priciest private-home trade in the modern history of Boston. The previous record belonged to a Mandarin-Oriental penthouse that traded in June 2011 for $13,200,000.
