EAST BOSTON—Not to be outdone by Everett's big unveil on Wednesday, here be Suffolk Downs' casino plans in 3D: "Partnered with Caesars Entertainment, Suffolk Downs 161-acre project would have two hotels with approximately 450 rooms, entertainment spaces and nightclubs, and up to 10 restaurants. The casino would have about 200,000-square-feet of gambling space with 4,000 to 4,200 slot machines and 175 gaming tables." [Boston.com]

BOSTON—John Keith calls the city's real estate scene a "thinker's market": "What happened is, instead of selling, many homeowners here in Boston sat tight and waited out the recession. Residents in downtown Boston were able to make it through the hard times because they had savings (and, probably, dual-income households). So, there wasn't a massive sell-off of homes like we saw in other cities." [My South End]

SOMERVILLE—How cold was the city's winter market? "According to the figures, 34 condos and single-family homes sold in January and February of this year, compared to 51 in the first two months of 2012. That's a 33 percent decline." [Patch]
