$2M in Chops Later, 318 Beacon Finds Its Buyer

Nearly three weeks ago, we speculated that the 10,500-square-foot townhouse at 318 Beacon Street would likely sell after its latest price-chop of $800,000.

The 19-room spread, with gigantic windows overlooking the Charles and a four-car garage, has, indeed, found a buyer, according to the multiple listing service. Whether said buyer paid the latest asking of $8,500,000 remains to be seen, but he, she, they or it certainly got a bargain: The townhouse, which had been subdivided by its last owners into five now-vacant residences, had been asking as much as $10,500,000. It then underwent two massive price-chops, including the $800K one earlier this spring, and briefly disappeared from the market before reappearing with Coldwell Banker's Sam Kidder. Stay tuned for the closing price.
