Mandarin Oriental Gets In on Boston's Mega-Deal Bonanza

April's what, a week old? Barely? And already we've very likely seen three Boston condo deals for $7,000,000 or more.

The latest involves Unit E10A, a 3-BR, 2.5-BA at the Mandarin Oriental. The 4,091-square-foot condo, which comes with two garaged parking spaces, sold for $7,000,000 even in a deal that closed April 4. It was originally listed by Tracy Campion of Campion & Company for $7,900,000, and took more than a year to trade, but so what?

The deal comes on the heels of agreements to buy two other Boston condos listed for more than $7M. One was Unit 1 at 3 Commonwealth Avenue, which was last listed for $7,995,000, before it went under agreement. The other was the 5,900-square-foot spread at the under-construction Chanel No. 6 on Newbury Street, which was last listed for $7,665,000 before finding a buyer. If either closes close to their final asking, well, you get the picture: a very mega-deal April, indeed.
