The above is called the Floatyard, and it was imagined by Brian Healy of the architectural firm Perkins + Will to loom off the Charlestown Navy Yard, above rising sea levels due to climate change. It would offer a communal courtyard and 100 residences (and, of course, ocean views). It's a long shot, but remember those photos of Hurricane Sandy et al? Time to start thinking outside the boxy housing.
