$530K in Beacon Hill: a Well-Placed Starter Apartment

This 1-BR, 1-BA shows that not all Chestnut Street deals have to be mega-deals.

The 806-square-foot starter apartment traded for $528,500 in a deal that closed on Tuesday (it had been listed for as much as $545,000). The condo spent nearly a year on the market, a rarity in today's more coveted Boston neighborhoods, perhaps because, as the listing noted, "the building does not allow dogs and it is cost-prohibitive to install HVAC." Window AC? Fine.
