Hub-wide— New signage is going up on MBTA buses and trolleys warning against physical assaults on T workers. Physical assaults have gone up 16 percent since last year, and in some cases resulted in putting T workers in the hospital. A public service announcement also accompanied the new campaign, "Think twice before putting your hands on T staff. We will find you, arrest you and prosecute you." [Herald]
Hub-wide—Today the Senate passed a $300 million transportation bond bill. The funds can be used by every city and town in Massachusetts to use towards highway construction, preservation, and improvement projects. The bill must be signed by Gov. Deval Patrick before taking effect. [Brookline Patch]
