Traffic Report

Boston traffic is ranked 10th worst nationally and leads the nation in year-to-year congestion level increases. Even with the Big Dig completed, commuters are still spending more time on the road than before. NRIX, a traffic data firm, found that most of the delays are linked to Interstate 93, especially sections that were put underground during the Big Dig. Former Massachusetts Turnpike Authority Board member Mary Z. Connaughton said, "bottlenecks leading into the city were inadequately addressed." [Herald]
