Beacon Hill's Neatest Bathroom Trades for $3.8M-Plus

The 3,230-square-foot duplex penthouse at 25 Lime Street—one of only two units in the building dating from 1800—hit the sales market back in November 2012 and then again (post-removal) in January, both times for $3,995,000. We noted then that one of its four bathrooms appeared to be walled with old wine cases (the building was redone in 2009).

The bathroom and the rest of the joint, including a private rooftop deck with bar and three bedrooms, traded in a deal that closed June 28 for $3,825,000. Brokered for the seller by Coldwell Banker, it's one of those relatively rare Boston deals that went for a lot under-asking. Still, cool digs. Cool.
