The penthouse at the Cushing-Endicott House in Back Back is as suitably gobsmacking as you would expect: direct elevator access; 2,679 square feet; three bedrooms and two and a half baths; deeded parking; two floors and two fireplaces; airiness owing in no small measure to the sunroof.
The penthouse hit the sales market at the start of the month through William Montero for a rather precise $3,484,000. Unit 5 last sold way back in October 2003 for $1,375,000; and it joins on the market Unit 2/4, an impossibly posh triplex spread over 4,856 square feet. That puppy's asking $6,750,000 (after price-chops, the latest a $50,000 slice in early June) as well as a mere $19,500 on the rental market (it had been asking as much as $24,000). We think there should be a saying about location and why it matters in real estate.
