CHARLESTOWN— Wynn Casino Developers recently met with Charlestown residents about addressing heavier traffic concerns and other transportation issues the community faces if the casino in Everett is built. Roughly 60% of traffic travelling to the hotel and casino is expected to travel through Charlestown's Sullivan Square. City Councilor Sal LaMattina, whose district includes East Boston and Charlestown, spoke on the traffic impacts. "Charlestown is really more impacted than Everett. There needs to be a mitigation plan for this neighborhood that benefits the folks of this neighborhood." [Globe]
