The owner of 2 decaying piers at the Charlestown Shipyard Quarters Marina is being ordered to empty the marina and comply with safety requirements. In December, the Boston Conservation Commission issued a daily $25,000 fine against the management company until the piers are repaired. The fines have yet to be paid but is totaling over $6 million. Numerous strips and pilings, especially at Pier 6, are broken and twisted from their original spots. [Globe]
