MassDOT will hold a series of hearings regarding the removal of all cash toll booths on the Mass Pike and replacing them with an all electronic toll system. Under this new system, a camera will record license plates and bill the toll amount to the registered car owner through mail. Drivers can also use their E-ZPass transponders but will not be able to stop and use cash. [WCVB]
