You have just over a day left to bid on the Graves Island Lighthouse 9 miles off the coast of our fair Hub.
The bidding as of 8:30 this morning stands at $111,000, with the federal government wanting $10,000 upfront, no matter what the final offer. There have been five bidders so far. The price would include the 110-year-old, 113-foot working lighthouse, with its kitchen and bedrooms and water cistern—as well as, presumably, tons of storage—and the surrounding 10 rocky acres of Graves Island (as well as an oil house). Go.
