The fabulous 4,193-square-foot townhouse at 96 Pinckney Street was originally listed way back in October 2011 for $2,999,000.
The 5-BR, 5-BA spread, with a duplex suite up top for the in-laws or the au pair (as the listing makes clear), chopped its price by $100,000 roughly 10 months later; then by another $100,000 roughly two months after that. It was at that new asking—$2,799,000—that the townhouse dating from 1900 disappeared from the market in April 2013.
Well, it's back through Coldwell Banker for $2,750,000, or $655 a square foot. Can it and its private garden with tool shed trade at the much-reduced tag? Or is it still a tad much for the flat of Beacon Hill? Stay tuned.
