It was bound to happen, what with the regional emphasis on the transit-oriented development and the movement toward fulfilling SomerVision's, um, vision: The Green Line extension has become part of the sales pitches for Somerville homes. The latest cases in point: two condos in the brand-new Highland off Highland Avenue.
Unit 6 of The Highland is a 2-BR, 2-BA spread over 1,240 square feet and asking $549,900. Unit 5 is a 2-BR, 2-BA spread over 960 square feet and asking $439,900. Both proclaim this in their listings: "walkable to the Planned Green Line Extension!" Indeed, it appears The Highland is within reasonable walking distance to at least two would-be Green Line stops (see this map). Anyone know of any other Somerville (or Medford) listings touting proximity to the new stops? Let us know via the always-discreet Curbed Boston Tipline.
