The Skinny: Several of you wrote in to the always-discreet Curbed Boston Tipline as well as to the comments section with your theories as to why the curtains were drawn in the listing photo of this two-story, circular living room. Here's one: "The building is across the street from the white industrial building on Harrison that houses a bread bakery. Given the view is of a squat, ugly structure it is no surprise that the curtains are closed."
The location, indeed, seemed to prompt a land rush to the lower price points up for a vote (and suggested, too, that the South End isn't so uniformly desirable): More than 31 percent of you voted for the correct asking and a further quarter went for $1.5M. Interestingly enough, the lead vote-getter was $1,895,000, which garnered 33 percent. Few went anywhere near $2M.
