The townhouses appearing collectively as 28 Mount Vernon Street were combined in the 1870s and have bones in the 1820s. Together they stretch to 50 feet of frontage and contain 20 rooms, including 11 bedrooms and six full bathrooms. There are also 10 fireplaces and a big garden out back. All totaled, 28 Mount Vernon contains 11,180 square feet, bigger than most of the other townhouses in the thoroughly townhouse-ed neighborhood. And it just hit the market. The mansion is being listed through Coldwell Banker for $7,500,000. The listing suggests that for all its grandeur the property might need some work. Still.
