Brookline's Priciest New Listing Overcomes Its Kitchen Floor

New, 3 comments

Look past what might possibly be the most hideous kitchen floor in Greater Boston (at least among Greater Boston homes asking more than $5,000,000), and you'll find a spectacular Shingle-style estate at 180 Clyde Street in Brookline. There's the sheer scope of the place, for one thing: nearly 2 acres of land; and more than 7,100 square feet of living space, including seven bedrooms and five full bathrooms. There are the perks as well: an in-ground pool; a carriage house with a four-car garage and a 2-BR apartment. One-eighty Clyde wants $8,500,000 through Campion & Co. It last traded on the open market way back in July 1997 for $2,775,000. We'll see what happens.
