'Tis a big, honking bull market in Boston housing now, and beautiful Jamaica Plain is no exception. So it is with little surprise that we behold the asking price of the 4,090-square-foot Victorian at 16 Harris Avenue in the neighborhood's Sumner Hill section. It comes with at least five bedrooms and precisely three and a half bathrooms; a fenced-in backyard and a deck off the kitchen; and plenty of natural light, not to mention a blinding mustard exterior. It last traded in April 2010 for $919,000. Sixteen Harris now wants $1,599,000 through Hammond Residential—or $680,000 more than its going price barely four years ago. Too much? Too little? It has been renovated. Just right?
