Bruins Practice Arena Groundbreaking; Old North Church Vu

DOWNTOWN BOSTON—A plaque installed in the sidewalk of Tremont Street has long promised a vu "for all future generations" of the Old North Church, from which Paul Revere got his marching orders: "But then, in March 2014, the MBTA closed down Government Center Station for a mass reconstruction project which includes erecting a 40-foot tall glass headhouse entry where the old bunker-looking one once stood. And it's so tall that only the semblance of the Old North Church an eager view spectator could catch is the very top of the steeple." [BostInno]

BRIGHTON—The Bruins broke ground on their new practice arena, part of the ginormous Boston Landing development: "The Warrior Ice Arena, named after the athletic equipment manufacturer Warrior Sports, will replace the Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, where the Bruins have practiced since the late 1980s."
