The recently constructed townhouse at 34 St. James Avenue is about halfway between Porter and Davis squares in Somerville (the Hottest City on EarthTM). The 4-BR, 3.5-BA, 2,478-square-footer with three floors, a basement and private outdoor space dropped in early October for $1,349,900. The price came down about a month later to $1,299,900. That seems to have done the trick. The townhouse closed last week for that final asking price.
