The 6-BR, 4-BA house at 31 Channing Road has been the priciest listing for a good chunk of the year in Dedham, that town that almost hosted the Massachusetts Governor's Mansion. It was listed back in late July for $2,000,000 even—or about $455 a square foot. The tag on the 14-room space with fireplaces everywhere (the study, the living room, the sunroom) started dropping soon thereafter, first to $1,950,000 and now even further. The 4,388-square-foot mansion on more than 1 acre is now asking $1,850,000, a full $150K off its original price. Stay tuned.
