Formerly Mysterious Carlton House Listing Finds a Buyer

When it dropped in October, the 2-BR, 2-BA, 3,098-square-foot, Public Garden-facing Unit 16A at the achingly posh Carlton House seemed one big mystery wrapped in an enigma. Why? There were no interior photos. That was quickly remedied, and we've awaited ever since some sort of sales movement on one of Boston's priciest askings.

In January, someone or something agreed to buy the spread. Moreover! Its original $10,000,000 tag remained intact. Might we have the makings of an eight-figure deal? Stay tuned. Unit 16A last traded way, way back in March 1991 for $1,850,000. We'll bet it beats that closing price this go-round.
