About three weeks ago, we slapped you upside the brain with the very real possibility that Somerville could see two million-dollar-plus sales at the same time, a rather rare event for the city that's changing every day in every possible way. Well, one of these sales hath come to pass.
On Jan. 29, the 4-BR, 4.5-BA, 2,500-square-foot house at 31 Winslow Avenue closed for $1,230,000 after 83 official days on the market. The spread, within the orbit of an increasingly pricey Davis Square, was last listed for $1,259,000, suggesting that the buyer got a bit of a deal. No word yet on 16 Chester Place, which was asking $1,149,000 when it went under contract. Stay tuned.
