HUB-WIDE—The Eater Boston heatmap has been updated for February. New to the list: Alden & Harlow, which opened last week in Harvard Square.

CAMBRIDGE—A restaurant (probably a deli) called The Ames Street Deli appears to be coming to Kendall Square, and licensing notes suggest that the backbar team is behind it.

HUB-WIDE—Eater is now accepting nominations for the 2014 Young Guns, which aims to identify the most promising up-and-comers in the restaurant and nightlife world, whether they're working as chefs or line cooks, sommeliers or bartenders, restaurateurs or maître d's. It's open to nominees under 30 years old—or folks who have spent less than five years in their chosen field.
