Check Out the Successors to the Locke-Ober Building

New, 5 comments

In late 2012, the building housing the Locke-Ober restaurant at 1-4 Winter Place in downtown Boston traded as part of a $3,300,000 deal. Everyone and their brother-in-law wanted to know what was coming next. Condos of some sort (with a restaurant maybe down below) soon became the answer. Now! We know what kind of condos precisely.

Six luxury residences, all with direct-elevator access, are set to drop very, very soon at the thoroughly redeveloped building. They start in price at $1,750,000 for a 2,243-square-foot 2-BR, 2.5-BA and appear to jump from there. A 3,357-square-foot penthouse at 1 Winter Place wants $3,000,000 even (its floorplan is above); but mum's the word on the prices for the other four units for now. Gillian Morris, Valerie Post and Keith Shirley of Meridian Realty Group are marketing the properties; and will host an open house this weekend for the pair with price tags. We'll see what happens.
