Looks like the first big part of the unabashedly transit-friendly Jackson Square mega-redevelopment in Jamaica Plain is a success: A rep for 225 Centre Street tells us the 103-unit apartment complex, which dropped last fall, is completely leased up. A short-term rental might become available in July, but "they might be renewing."
The asking rents for 225 Centre's 68 market-rate apartments were as follows: starting at $1,700 for a 1-BR; $2,200 for a 2-BR; and $2,850 for a 3-BR. The rep tells us that the taking rents for all those new tenants "were as projected." Bummed you missed the boat at this game-change-y complex? Here are 10 other rental options to look at right this very second. Go.
