47 Days for $5M-Plus at Back Bay's Zero Marlborough

When last we checked in with Zero Marlborough on the Public Garden's edge in Back Bay, it was to gape at a 3-BR, 3.5-BA duplex that went for $1,500 and change a square foot. We return to look at another closing in the tony condo building: that of the 3-BR, 3.5-BA Unit 3. It was asking $5,750,000.

After an official 47 days on the market with brokerage Campion & Co., the 3,319-square-foot manse went for a cool $5,200,000 (or $1,566 and change a foot). Yes, that's way, way off its asking price, but still rather sizable—and rather gobsmacking given that it went to contract within in weeks of being listed, never mind the close within two months. Such speed is the way in the Boston condo market nowadays. Happy Tuesday.
