The 2-BR, 2-BA, 1,042-square-foot Unit 8 at 62 Commonwealth Avenue in Back Bay hit the sales market three weeks ago today. It of the south-facing living room, private terrace, decorative marble fireplace and ceiling fan (gotta have that) was asking a cool $1,375,000.
The spread with Commonwealth Avenue Mall views and "espresso stained hardwood floors" has chopped its price by $76,000 to $1,299,000. The whole shebang last traded in September 2010 for $1,037,500. Is $1,246 a square foot still too much to ask this go-round? Stay tuned.
