Six Figures Over Asking for South End's 7 St. Charles

New, 4 comments

In mid-March, we told you about the scrumptious townhouse at 7 St. Charles Street in the South End finding a buyer after barely three weeks on the sales market. The 4-BR, 2.5-BA townhouse, with French doors opening to garden views and built-in shelves galore, was asking $2,495,000 through Gibson Sotheby's. Well, guess what? It got that and then some.

The 3,100-square-foot spread, which last traded in July 2011 for $1,925,000, nabbed $155,000 over its asking price to close at $2,650,000. 'Twas officially on the market for 35 days. Such is the way of things in the Boston housing market. Happy Monday.
