The listing for this 992-square-foot house made no bones about it: "Great opportunity for that lucky handyman." There's also talk of a "fully fenced yard with green grass and established perennials" as well as a deeded parking area and proximity to the JFK stop of the Red Line. Mostly, though, it's along the lines of this: "A little elbow grease will really make this shine."
The house was listed on Feb. 18 for $215,000. It traded very fast, closing Friday for $10K less than the asking: $205,000. Such speed is the norm in Boston. Even for the fixer-uppers.
