A month ago today it looked like the parlor duplex at 193 Beacon Street in Back Bay was all set to sell. It had a buyer, the deal was pending; all good, right? Then, just like that, the 3-BR, 2.5-BA with copious outdoor space (for Beacon Street at least) was back on the sales market—still at its original asking of $1,979,000.
Unit 1 at 193 Beacon now wants a mere $1,879,000 after a $100,000 price-chop last week. It last traded (in two days, mind you) in July 2011 for $1,275,000. That sale followed a price-chop of $20,000. Stay tuned.
