Way back in February we told you that the 2-BR, 2-BA, 3,098-square-foot, Public Garden-facing Unit 16A at the Carlton House had found a buyer. For a time the posh spread didn't provide any interior photos—hence the mysterious part. For a time, too, we didn't know the closing price. We just knew that it had been listed last October for $10,000,000 and that's where it stayed.
Unit 16A closed earlier this month for $8,500,000. That's a full $1.5M off the asking. Still, that tag would have made it the priciest condo trade in all of Boston in 2013. We think it has a decent shot at the title this year.
