Green Line Extension Moves Somerville Condo Extra Fast

The 1-BR, 1-BA Unit 21 at 10 Roberts Street near Magoun Square hit the sales market mid-week last week as the only home in Somerville asking under $250,000. It's already found a buyer.

The 552-square-foot spread is admirably utilitarian, with its $235,000 listing clearly promising it as a sort of starter apartment for "your entry to owning in Somerville." There's a common laundry on the same floor, and dogs and cats under 25 pounds are allowed. Then there's the mention of the "upcoming Green Line extension" and how "you'll enjoy living near public transportation."

'Tis no secret that the Green Line's weave through Somerville is set to transform the city's real estate market. It's a couple of years before the first train rolls through and it looks like it already has.
