Somerville's Priciest Listing Sells at Six-Figure Discount

It's a shred of good news for buyers in this Thunderdome of a Hub housing market: The sale of the most expensive listing in Somerville as of late April, a 3-BR, 1.5-BA house on a large Davis Square lot at 204 Morrison Avenue, has closed for a lot less than it was asking. The house, one of many pricey Somerville spots poised to sell this summer, was asking $1,495,000.

The 2,034-square-foot Victorian on a plot that runs to nearly five times that size went for $1,200,000 in the end. It was on the market for not even officially two months, having been listed March 4. Still, $295K off. It's something.
