First it was no homes under $200,000. Now get this: There are currently no single-family houses nor condos for sale in South Boston asking under $250,000. Of the seven condos listed, all have deals pending. As for single-families, there just aren't any, period. Above are the listing shots from the priciest of the lot, Unit 2 at 227 West Third Street.
The 1-BR, 1-BA, 500-square-footer was asking $249,000 when it went under agreement recently. It had hit the sales market in mid-March. As for the cheapest of the pending condos, that's a short sale off Woodward Street that was asking a mere $169K. It's been "partially gutted" and, as you can see below, needs work. Laugh, sure, but someone snapped it up.
