Parking the Premium? $31K Over-Asking in Chestnut Hill

New, 2 comments

This 2-BR, 1-BA condo in Chestnut Hill in the Boston-Newton borderlands is charming enough: 780 square feet of lots of natural light from big windows reflected off shiny cherrywood floors. It hit the sales market on March 5 for $189,000. It closed earlier this month for a ton more than that.

Unit 5 at 46 Bryon Road closed for an even $220,000. That's $31,000 over the asking price and marks not even two months on the market. We think we know the cause: the condo comes with two parking spaces. Parking is more sacred in this region than that Sox and Bruins combined. Argue with us.
