From East Boston to Dorchester, fast condo sales have become the norm in Boston. Add another to the anecdotal pile: the newly constructed penthouse at 187 Beacon Street in Back Bay (it's so new there aren't even any listing photos).
The 3,000-square-foot spread with three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms dropped on the sales market April 29 asking $5,300,000. That made it the second-priciest Boston listing out there, as a matter of fact, behind the eternally available Benjamin Mansion nearby.
It found a buyer in roughly eight days, though, of course, we don't yet know the closing price. The duplex comes not only with the aforementioned rooms, but with a wet bar and terrace off the family room; one parking space; and six burners on the stove. Hot.
