The Skinny: This particular RentSpotter was never really close. Twenty-nine thousand a month jumped out to an early large lead and never lost it—in the end more than 40 percent of you thought that that was the asking rent on this 5,000-square-foot Beacon Hill palace with a private roof deck and bathrooms based on those in the London Ritz-Carlton. Not even 10 percent guessed the correct asking; and a further one-fifth-plus thought it wanted well over $30K. Memo to this landlord: Go hard.
