Chestnut Street TH Promises 'Wes Anderson Film' Experience

New, 3 comments

We're thinking Royal Tenenbaums. The five-story, Federal-style townhouse at 10 Chestnut Street in Beacon Hill just dropped on the sales market for the first time since 1959, according to the Roost Real Estate listing (though public records show a $301,400 trade in May 2007). It's a potentially lush affair (thus the listing's promise of the experience of "walking through a Wes Anderson film") and comes with flourishes such as a wet bar in the library, six marble fireplaces, claw-foot tubs in some of the seven bathrooms, and a large deck over the courtyard. Very cinematic, indeed.

The 4,202-square-foot, 5-BR spread is asking a cool $3,300,000. Which, naturally, doesn't even place it within Boston's five priciest listings.
