O My! Fast-Trading Triple-Decker Flirts w/ Southie Record

New, 3 comments

The 3,052-square-foot, 6-BR, 3-BA triple-decker at 27-29 O Street is not your typical South Boston triple-decker. No, it's something else entirely.

Ryan Foley at Greater Metropolitan Real Estate listed the property June 12 for $1,500,000. Per usual for the Boston housing market nowadays, the triple-decker was quickly snatched up. If it closes for anywhere near its asking price, 27-29 O Street will "set a new record for the highest price ever paid for a South Boston triple-decker," per Thomas Grillo at the Boston Business Journal.

The current record-holder is 557 East 4th Street, which sold in October 2005 for $1.2M. Our O Street number last traded in January 2013 for $900K. Stay tuned.
